I changed windscreens from a Cal Sci Sport tinted shorty to a Cee Bailey plus 2 tinted reverse flip.

Big difference in quality.

The Cal Sci had very rough edges, looked like it was cut with a hack saw and not finished or polished.
The Cee Bailey had a much better finish with the edges polished nicely.

Went for a ride today and I like it!!

Wind protection for me is better than the Cal Sci especially with the screen up all the way.

Dropped It!
so, getting ready for my surgery next week and being told a 6 week recovery period where I'll be restricted from lifting anything more than 10 lbs. I thought it might mean an early end to my riding season. (cant see me dancing with the fat girl for that time and maybe beyond), and given the forecast for a snowy winter and since this year I need to store the bike outside (no garage) I decided to get it done while I am still able. So, added my seafoam, went for a short ride and topped off the tank and proceeded to ride up my drive way to a spot where I can chain it up to an iron railing. So I pull next to the railing and begin to jockey back and forth to get it into the proper position. I go to put her on the side stand and $h!!t
I forgot to put the side stand down. So you know what happens next once you go past that point of no return.
:(
the bike goes over into the railing almost pinning my left leg in between the bike and the railing. Tried picking her up but no dice, had to call my brother in law to come over and give me a hand. Luckily (or maybe unluckily) the only damage was the left side mirror and a minor scratch on the windshield. Well I know what I'll be attacking as soon as I'm able. Has anyone replaced just the glass of the mirror?? Maybe I should've put this in the Complaint thread?

Put on 110 miles (the bike is now over 3k) over the last two days taking both of my younger girls to various car shows and bike meetups, drive-ins, rock climbing, and to Cycle Gear to try on gear/a new helmet. Seems I lose about 1 mpg carting kids around. The new tires are swell.

The Twin sister has been taking good care of me, so it's only fair to reciprocate.
Maintenance and mods day today. I could've used a breeze. Any breeze. But I knocked quite a bit off my list despite the heat.
Mainly oil change and swap some parts from the Big Girl. (May she rest in pieces. )

The Twin now wears the all-beef custom rack with the Shad top case adapter adapted.
I finished up at dark-thirty, so no finished pics today.

Oil, filter, lube some moving parts, kick stand foot and highway peg delete. That's just in this one photo.
I STILL need to adjust the shifter for my new boots. Ran out of time.

Went to sport Wheels with the fjr and trailer to hunt for ancient Honda parts. Couple hours, $15 and about half of what I was hoping to find. Still worth the wander.

I haven't been to Sport Wheels for a long, long time...
Last time I went there I bought a Kawasaki GPz 750 Turbo. Still miss that clapped out bike.

Rolled past my first thousand miles on my third week of ownership. Happened to be stopped by a very long train, so I got pictures. Boring pictures.

Edit: the #2 trip meter does not accurately reflect a thousand miles because I disconnected the battery while I was doing the brakes the first weekend because the terminals were on screwy. They reset.

Love that place, they should charge admission. They apologize for it costing $15 for the stuff I got because that is sort of their minimum. I wandered for a couple hours, they let me pull my own parts and they would have cost 2x that on Internet.

Finished off the day by going to knuckleheads on the triumph and vaporizing a squirrel on the way home. Going to need to clean that bike tomorrow. FWIW, they claim 150 is top speed, 135 is pretty much it - ask the squirrel.

I do my squirrel killing on the golf course. If they would stay out of the trees and lay in the middle of the fairway they'd be safe.
