Hi, I have a 2016 FJR1300-A with standard fit LED headlights. Although I'm happy with the illumination they provide at night, I've become aware that I'm not all that visible during the daytime/dusk. Within minutes of riding it for the very first time early evening I had a car pull out in front of me. Then again a couple of weeks later. I put it down to coincidence and that in a random world there are statistical groupings of events.
However! I took it in for a service last week and happened to be standing outside when they brought it back from a test ride - take a look at the picture I snapped. At this angle, the onlooker can't see any real light and certainly nothing bright. It doesn't help that the silver colour also blends it into the road.
My question is, has anyone tried installing additional LED lights in the area above the main headlight - i.e. the space in which the turn LED lights are fitted to the ES models?
Anyhow, thought I'd share this with you and alert you to a problem that you may not even be aware of.
Cheers,
Jme
