Have been looking for options and came across these:

Seems like a pretty healthy amount of lumens…wondering if anyone has any experience with the Firehawk bulbs.

Would welcome any feedback.

Mostly they go like this.... I've experimented with a few. All are pretty good with the low beam cutoff these days, as long as they have shields. Those with external cooling fans are the brightest, internal cooling fans might make similar claims, but might not be and may not last the longest. No fan and just a heat sink, well, I simply wouldn't bother.

I have played with quite a few as well and the problem I have seen with "dont buy cheap Chinese ones" is that many times all you get with more expensive ones is a company buying the exact same decent quality Chinese ones, slapping their logo on them, and doing a 1000% markup. If you are a little patient you can often buy the exact same midrange products off something like AliExpress or Temu for a fraction of the price, but with longer shipping.

As far as I have seen lumen and wattage claims are completely meaningless. Unless you are comparing two with the actual wattage draw (which should be well under 30-50 watts), not the completely useless estimated equivelent. Even then actual wattage draw isnt a perfect comparison metric because different drivers, LEDs, and fans have different efficiency ratings, but it at least gives you a general idea.

RaYzerman is correct with larger external heatsinks and fans being best, if you can find ones with huge external passive heatsinks those are good too if they fit your application, as you dont have to worry about fans, but rare and I probably wouldnt use them on a motorcycle.

LEDs lifespan and max potential brightness is DIRECTLY dependant on how well they are cooled, so anything with the heatsink inside a sealed headlight housing is an absolute no for me, that is simply a terrible idea for max brightness and longevity. Imagine putting your engine radiator and fan inside a sealed box and imagine how well they are going to cool your engine, and if you were the manufacturer how much you would have to step down engine performance to make that work, thats what putting the LED heatsink inside the headlight housing is comparable to.

The remaining things I look for are corded ones with boxes on the cords, as it seems the ones with external drivers are often brighter, some sort of physical features to block or redirect low beam light, and if the actual LEDs portions are removable from the base plate (they should twist and lock into place or something similar), that means you can install just the base plate into the healight housing first, which makes the install easier.

Good luck! And if you see some you are considering by all means throw them up here and I would be glad to give my 2 cents.
