I know its only march, but was just wondering what color everyone would like to see on the 2015 FJR??

I know not everyone is in love with the '14 red, myself included. After seeing it in person at the bike show in Cleveland it really confirmed how much I didn't care for it. I especially don't like how it changes to orange in direct light.

I personally love the liquid graphite used on the new/old SR400. I think the FJR would look georgus painted liquid graphite

Ok what colors would everyone else like to see???

Matte grey and black, with red accents... I'd buy that in a heartbeat but Yamaha won't do it, the FJR will look too 'sportbike' and scare the touring crowd, they'll do something pedestrian and boring like blue...

Edit: Ok, maybe not 'scare' the touring crowd but it seems that matte finish could cause some people to hesitate, and that's why Yamaha won't put it on their sport touring machine, an R1 or R6, absolutely; the FJR, I'd doubt it...

I'm guessing ppl didnt like the matt black frt fender on the '13 cuz it didn't match anything else. Kinda stood out
I have a '13 and I barely notice the color. On a red '14, it would be a different story.

10-4, the color tipped me over the edge. All of the technical check-offs happened with the first announcement of the 2013 but the color was not to my liking. When the 2014 was introduced with the candy red, I started shopping around. Glad I did.

Ducati Red.

OR

A two color combo of Ducati Red and White OR a two color combo of Red and Black....Red and Black go great together!

I personally think the candy red 2014 looks awesome in sunlight!

I have an 05 in the Galaxy Blue, which is fine, but very "pedestrian". I also have a '98 CBR600F3 that is bright red with my own personal touches that make it look fast sitting still. I love the FJR, but agree with DarkStar that a matte grey/black bike with red accents would be VERY nice. I'd go for that in a heartbeat. It would not only be sporty but also be very formal and elegant looking. Personally I could see that appeal to both the sport enthusiasts and the touring crowd. Something of a nice crossover I would think. My $.02 worth.

+1. I don't know if anyone remembers the 2008 ZX14 Limited- matte black and red. That one still sucks me in every time.

Nice "Street Triple" Pinoy, really like those bikes!

What you mean to get it painted?

Yeah, I know but I like my Black 2008 too much to spend money on a new paint job.

I may trade in the 2008 in a few years for a slightly used 2014 Red!

OR....

For a FJR900 when they make it!

I don't understand why Europe gets all the cool colors & the US gets one color a model year...ugh! I mean it's just paint, not like it's a new technology. I'm pretty sure yamaha looses sales because people wait for a color they prefer, myself included. If I'm gonna drop $16k on a bike, you better believe I'm gonna get a color I want/prefer. I'm not a cruiser guy, but man have you seen the vast amount of color choices HD offers?? Beautiful too

^^ nice looking bike....definetly feeling the wheels& seat combo.

+1 on the tinted winshield as well...(damm if i can only find one).
Fortunately for me the previous owner set it up, and now I get to enjoy it. Sometimes on the way to work at 0500 I am not so thrilled with the shield...

If you get sick on any dark colored food...chili for instance.

Well, I bought the 2013 FJR1300 because of all the advancements - the moment I test rode it, I knew I wanted it. The color has grown on me, and I found that it is great for being neutral for any helmets (and I happen to like different ones) and/or gear that you wish to get. I've done some enhancements to set it up for me and I've been extremely happy with it. I would love blue, but I figured that would be a long time before that happens since that was 2012's color.

I was all set to sell my BMW, and get an FJR until I saw the red color. Anyone know when the 2015 color is released? Better yet when do 2015's hit the showroom floor?
We were talking last night at work about this. I wouldn't buy the red '14 either, it does nothing for me. I'd go with the '13 with the front fender repainted to match. That would be more reasonable than repainting the entire '14.

Based on the 2014 seemingly limited production and delivery I wouldn't expect to see a '15 until March. I've yet to see a '14 in person and I've seen only 1 '13 up close.

Definitely not a matte finish guy. Used to do body work and my goal was always to produce a mirror gloss finish, so when I see matte finishes they just look like primer someone cheaped out and didn't both to complete the job. From a practical standpoint they are harder to maintain since they tend to show and retain dirt more easily.

Now as far as color, I am really lusting after the metallic orange FZ09. If they make this bike as a baby FJR I will buy one as a stablemate to my red one. I too nearly pulled the trigger on a '13 but just didn't feel it for the grey/green color. I wish my red one didn't turn goldish in sunlight but it's not a big deal, sure glad it's not the root beer brown the Europeans got last year, eww. Also like a gloss graphite with red accents.

That's the thing when I see all the pics of the '14s, they all look orange. Like I said, I've never seen one in person but IMHO that's d**m near as fugly as the HD "Classic" burnt baby crap rust color.

When I first test rode the 2013 I looked at my dad and said "Camry?" The classic tan on tan is ALWAYS a fantastic 'sporty' look. ;) However it has grown on me, and I've gotten quite the compliments. Not to mention she doesn't show dirt hardly at all. BONUS!!
