What Did You Do To Your FJR Today?

I changed windscreens from a Cal Sci Sport tinted shorty to a Cee Bailey plus 2 tinted reverse flip.

Big difference in quality.

The Cal Sci had very rough edges, looked like it was cut with a hack saw and not finished or polished.
The Cee Bailey had a much better finish with the edges polished nicely.

Went for a ride today and I like it!!

Wind protection for me is better than the Cal Sci especially with the screen up all the way.

Changed the spark plugs and air filter today. Discovered that one or all of the previous owners was not to careful when it came to replacing all the bolts, screws and plugs when putting the bike back together.

Got the trailer wiring done on the bike and trailer. Might be the day for its maiden voyage.

Gave my FJR its 36000 mile service, plugs, oils, (Yamalube 10/40 semi synthetic and Yamalube specific hub oil) plus filters, checked the injector balance, which had not altered from last time. Checked the tyre pressures matched what it says on the swing arm and torqued the sump bolts up to what it says in the book and going lovely.

New bolt-on side stand foot pad and heat shield for LH exhaust pipe. Got tired of my boot heal melting and leaving black marks on the pipe. Foot pad is for my gravel driveway.

I have to ask: where did you get the heatshield? And any other details about the installation, please and Thanks.
Took it for a ride. The trailer effects the handling a little but not in a way I would have guessed. Don't really notice it taking off or stopping (weighs maybe 150 empty). But when doing quick side to side transitions at speed, it makes it happen quicker which I find weird. Was fine up to 70, which was as fast as I could go on the road I was on. Low speed figure 8s were no problem.

Only thing I found on trailer that needs adjustment is that the center stand on an fz1 has a bumper that sits on the intermediate pipe. Without the pipe it is banging on the shock pivot.

I got mine here

You can get them local to you probably cheaper. Shipping anything to Canada is expensive

Just clamp it on. No regrets so far I have had it on one season. I don't understand why yammy didn't put one on both sides.

I bought a used OEM (right side) one and put it on using hose clamps and aside from it being upside down, it looks factory....

FWIW, I don't understand how your boot comes in contact with the exhaust there. I tried this morning and couldn't get my heel down that far. Not even if I sat up straight.

I have a Two Brothers on my Gen ll and occasionally will touch my heel on the pipe. I think it happens more often when going for the side stand. Maybe Two Brothers sets a little higher than stock, IDK. The muffler tips are pretty close to the bags though, so maybe.

Tall heels on your boots?
Lowered pegs?
I always lay the blame on the passenger. ;)
