I have been riding to work daily for months here in Seattle - actually do it year round with only a few exceptions. The weather has finally gotten better in the Pacific Northwet so I rode into work today!
We love the Mt Gilead area. Check out Lefler's place for a lunch stop. The building has a lot of history, built around 1900.Morrow Mountain, NC

Looks good Jim. Well done.I didn't like the way my mirrors looked so..........
I did straighten the mounts so they won't stick up like a set of rabbit ears, then........
I have seen bikes with dark stocks that are different than the bike main color, I had some Ford-dark shadow grey and thought what the heck!
Clockwise the first pic is the sun baked and dumped starting point.

The process was;
1 sand the crap out of it and mask the rubber and glass.
2 spray 2 coats of adhesion promoter.
3 prime and check for blemishes.
4 spray with Duplicolor dark shadow gray
5 2 coats of Rustolem automotive clear, let dry.
6 wet sand clear with 1000 and wash
7 spray 2 more coats of clear.
8 remove all the masking and get it ready to reinstall.

Took the advice from @jayvan post
Decided to so with the smoke version to gel with Slutty Sylvia's "Liquid Silver" dress. Absolutely love the delete but considering I really don't use my signals they are more for the aesthetic.
2003 Front Turn Signal ModProbably not too many 2003 models left on the road, so if anyone is interested, I'd like to offer up my front turn signal modification. Used these from TST: LED Front Flushmount Turn Signals | Yamaha | TST Industries In hindsight, I should have gotten the smoke versions. Also, used these, to...www.fjrowners.com

Went the way @jayvan went and mounted the relay on the windshield motor with a spare GoPro 3M sticky. Works perfect and looks mean.
Ba-dum, psshh!!@Jim D sez: What do you guys think about these 2 colors together?
My reply: I like it! However, this is certainly one of those cases of what we like to call: a GREY area!
