If there's one guy I feel for it's Fernando Alonso. He wasted precious late-career time with McLaren during the disastrous Honda years. He was always more competitive than the anemic soapbox derby cars they gave him. Apologies to soapboxers, as the Mc-Honda cars weren't even that good.


Lewis Hamilton is highly motivated to establish himself as the best driver of all time, bar none. With his will and star charisma, can you imagine Mercedes ever letting him get away?


Not sure why I follow F1. But I still do. The tech probably, or maybe the history. Starting grid usually = finishing. They may as well outlaw passing and be done with it.

Bottas is probably tired of permanently living in Lewis Hamilton's long shadow at Merc. He's a very capable driver in his own right.

He would be a big plus for Ferrari in 2021 if they're also lucky enough to get Sainz.

There’s an element of truth to this. On the other hand it introduces different elements of competition, such as who can change wheels the quickest!

I agree Sainz + Lando are good chemistry

Alonso had his chance with Ferrari 2010-14, if he comes back I don't think he can beat young and crazy talents like Max, Albon, Lando, Leclerc, Gasly, Ocon etc, he is 38yrs old after all. Kind of like Rossi in MotoGP.

Lewis is on track to beat all records, why jeopardize and going to messed up Ferrari

Following F1? good question, over-regulated, back markers have to move away, passing is difficult, teams with most money always dominate (despite the cap on spending), to much technology in the car, FIA penalties and regulations limiting the real battle...one need to be a hardcore petrol head to still be loyal to F1, they'll need to make some radical changes in the years to come...after they banned pit-girls the popularity dropped 10% at least...big mistake >

Bottas is very sensitive and emotional, especially after going through divorce, and after a year of playing second fiddle, it's not easy for him to be in the team that is supporting Lewis (80%) and he gets about 20%.

speking of Finns, in all honesty Kimi should retire, he doesn't need the money, and it's apparent that he is not enjoying the F1 anymore, make room for more Verstapens and Landos
