The March issue of UK's Bike magazine list sales results for UK in year '05.
Sport Touring: 1- Triumph Sprint, 2- R1200RT, 3- Yam Fazer, 4- ST1300, 5- VFR800.

Where hell is the FJR?

Is the FJR a cult bike in the UK?

Webbikeworld.com lists the R1200T and ST1300 as touring bikes.

Have you checked under other classifications?

Sales by manufacturer in France for 2005:

Yamaha 20.6%

Not sure how that compares to the UK.... nor does it answer why the FJR doesn't rate in class stats. Searching......

132,803 powered two-wheelers were registered in the UK between January and December 2005. Within that figure the total of geared motorcycles, excluding scooters, 89,708 machines.
However, there are many who believe that this figure was more a function of the number of machines that needed to be registered than it was a true reflection of retail demand during 2005.

Bike mag slagged it at end of last year. They are a bunch of sport bike tossing lovers. Ignore them. They only rate a bike if its a new model. When FJR came out first. Top dog then. Now , until the new one it will be classed as shite. Best example , the Honda VFR top for ages. No more. How it droped in there rating from brill to sod all amazes me.
