If you buy vacuum gauges, they need to be calibrated.... hook them up to a common manifold and see if they all read the same, and if not, note the offsets....

Mainly because the level of fluid in the bottles would seem to be hard to distinguish. All the sync tools I have seen have small tubes so that the volume difference is very easy to discern.
But that’s another principle.
This stops fluid transfer between the bottles when preassure is the same.
But a smaller diameter would be preferred to get a longer run time.
