With no stiffy kits available, I made my own.

FYI, those are 1/2" X 1" aluminum bars.
What's not very visible are the washers that I had to stack just outboard of the lower ends in order to get the bars to line up properly.
The bolts at the lower end are M6-1 35mm long.

Why so strong? Because I eventually plan to replace the top box with a backrest and armrests for the misses.

I always thought that the one product that would go wild, if Garauld had ever made it, would be a backrest they utilized an SR357 as a base. Negates any need for frame reinforcement, and might serve as a good platform for a backrest.

You could pretty much just bolt on a pirates lair backrest with a sr357.

I actually did make a couple of them a while back. There really has not been much of a demand for backrests over the years.

I gave up on the external rack reinforcement when it didn't fit:

It had obviously been returned before. Spacers missing, slight marks on the mounting points, poor packaging.
