Even in the pollen laden springtime of the pine tree heavy southeast where I am this is way overkill. I blow it out about this time of year and fuggetaboutit. After next year's spring pollen fest I'll replace it.

And while you're at it... form a 'cover' using metal screen for the intake snorkel to keep them pesky rodents from building a home inside the airbox

Would you share how to make one of those covers and how someone could put in on? Or a link to someone who has made one and put it on? I found so much activity inside my air box / air filter and while I thought metal screen or steel wool stuffed in there, I have no idea how I'd go about attaching it or whether sticking steel wool would be a good idea in there. TYIA
