I'm OK with it so what's good for sun protection that will not make it slippery?

I rode for many years with the stock seat. Never used anything on it. Didn't make any difference.

Yup 303, rub it in good and then park it in sun for a while so it isn't slippery. Use it on the boat and every bike seat.

Same on the 303, it is good stuff.

I have recently started using it even on tires to see if it slows down how fast they dry out and deteriorate in South Texas. No feedback on that yet but grip seems fine after letting it soak in a bit and a couple tight turns both directions in a parking lot.

The folks at 303 make several products.
I've used, and shelve the 303 "aerospace protectant". It brings black trim & plastic back to life. When I used it on my Honda seat, it became slick as ice. Soap & water made it better.
Which 303 product are y'all using on seats?

303 Aerospace, it will definitely be slick at first on a smooth material glossy material, but it soaks in and doesn't remain slippery forever like some other products do (looking at you Armor All). The stock 3rd gen seat is so textured I never had any issues with using it on the stock seat and hopping immediately.

Slippery seat? Knee/leg grip the tank.

It does make the seat slippery and use Armor All Leather/vinyl upholstery. Do not make the mistake of using the "Protectant" formula as it will ruin a vinyl seat. (becomes brittle and cracks in the cold)

Yeah, that's something I wanted as well - to hydrate and preserve the material.

I put the 303 on this weekend and immediately noticed the slipperiness. The driver seat went on fine but the passenger ended up a bit blotchy. I washed and tried a second app and it's a little better.

Yeah, you need to get in a routine of - cleaning it and then applying the protectant. This is why the vinyl in my boat is still as new - lot of white.
