First ride yesterday. New to me, 2008 Yamaha FJR 1300 w 16k mi. Loving it. Considering stock or higher seat. Has lower Corbin front seat. Considering lowering foot pegs. Looking for good mounting solution for iPhone quadlock. Have had great success with the quad lock and vibration damper on my ADV bikes. Removed bar riser w 4” sweep and set bars back to stock width. Might add just a riser. Will probably add heated grips.
Have always thought the FJR’s looked great and like a comfortable sporty ride great for short rides or long trips. Can’t wait to expand the ride log.
Went for VIN verification yesterday and it turned into a 120 mile outing.
I was surprised how well it feels on (smooth) dirt roads. Wash boards not so much.
Would welcome rides with other riders in the area.
