Does anyone know who sells a magnetic drain plug for the engine and rear on our FJRs?

Almost time to change the oils and I want to add magnetic plugs.

Have not done much riding as its been raining off and on for over two weeks here in NJ.

Hi. My 06 has a magnent in the rear but not one for the oil pan. I have heard of many people swapping out the two because they are interchangable.

The drain plug for the engine and the rear end have the same thread pitch . I replaced the engine drain plug on the first oil change.

Borrec:

I have used magnets on my filters for a long time.

I personally put them on the end of the filter.

Yes they do collect debris.

However, I think the debris would be collected in the filter anyway.

But, It helps anal me sleep at night.

Cheap insurance if you ask me.

I am going to order another rear plug and use it in the engine. I dont think clearance will be an issue, but easy to check.

Personally I wouldn't swap them. The engine oil has a filter to collect bits - the final drive doesn't. If you want a magnet for the engine oil, order another final drive sump plug.....
