I was 41 after the kids had grown up a bit when buying the FJR. I was 20 when I bought my XS Eleven Special

At age 27 I bought a new 84 FJ1100. I rode it daily as my only mode of transportation. After two years traded it in for a V-max. Started drag racing with it. Kids came along bike had to go. 63 now, just traded my 2012 650 V-Strom in (hard to let go) and nabbed a red 14 FJR. I think I’m done now. It filled the need then and it fills the need now.

Looks like there are a bunch of us "OLDER" riders in this Forum. I'm 66 and am finally riding the mighty FJR = Finally Just Right. 🤩

According to the above survey I’m a 1%er. Got my FJR 3 years ago at 32. 😮
