You're just going to have to trace those wires to know for sure but considering how it appears the previous owner put that bike together I'd guess they're for aftermarket accessories. Probably just abandoned them in place which might have been a gift to you. The flatter dual wire looks like a typical battery tender connection but the larger round one . . . ?? It's common to run power to a fuse block somewhere, more often than not back under the seat; look there maybe.

As far as leaks, if you don't see anything wet then that's a positive. That area is hard to clean and it might be residue left over when the PO installed those steel braided lines. Nothing looks half-assed on that bike.

Good observation re: nothing wet. I'll clean the area up the best I can then keep an eye on it.
