Hi folks, just thought I'd say hello as Ive just joined. Im Paul, Im 47 and a railway worker from the West Mids. Im not yet an FJR owner, but I'm definitely looking for one as soon as I have the money to buy (hopefully this year lol)

My one and only bike which I bought new was a '99 600 bandit, I loved it but my now ex wife told me that its my daughter or my bike when she was born in 2001 so Ive been out of the saddle since. Ive recently had a refresher course with a local training school, so Ive got the bug again.

Im also planning with a friend to do a mega euro trip at some point next year, so Im gonna need some help with that lol, another area of this forum I think lol ?

Stay upright folks,

Paul

2PEEZ,

Welcome to the campfire! Relax here, and enjoy!
We have good experience and help, if needed. Questions welcome.

Here is a comparison chart to tell what was added or changed by Yamaha on the FJR, by year.
Download the .PDF file, and Zoom In repeatedly. Noteworthy changes were cruise control, ABS, instrument panel, heated grips, transmission. Each year comes in only one color, which changes by the year.

As a fellow Mid-westener, welcome!

If you're in Missouri, I'd be happy to assist any way I can.
LOL, Raccoon, he is from the West Mids, which is in the UK!! But I do agree with your motivation!!

I say, "ROAD TRIP TO THE UK!"

No need to feel stupid!! Simple little error, is no cause for that! The fact that you ride an FJR nullifies all little errors!! Especially a 2nd Gen!!
