Any suggestions on what I could use for protecting the painted finish on the plastic fuel tank cover on my Yamaha Apex snowmobile?

I was thinking of some clear 3M film, but thought maybe there is something better like a thin rubber knee pad for the sides of the cover.

I recall some people using a knee pad from a BMW cycle on their FJR's but couldn't find any info to see if those would work.

Let me know what you think would work (and look) good!

Thanks

Thanks for the link

Thanks for the link Stu.

Looks like a great product, but I was thinking maybe something that wasn't transparent-as after time dirt would enter in along the edges.

If that would be a problem, a very small bead of clear silicone sealant round the edge would be a cure.

Stu.. the bagman..
