Has anyone else noticed/felt that the rear suspension on the FJR (K5 in my case), has rather poor compression damping?

Occasionally when I have felt like hammering some corners, I will be close to dragging the pegs, when I might hit a smallish "yump" mid-corner, and then suddenly the pegs hit the ground. This happens regardless of the hard/soft settings on the rear.
I don't mind dragging the pegs, but when it happens due to a sudden compression of the rear end, it becomes disconcerting.
There is no way to adjust compression damping specifically on the FJR's, is there?

The Fjr hasnt any compression damping on the standard rear shock only on the forks!
The rear shock spring is soft and not upto fast sweepers

jgm,
Thats one of the reasons aftermarket shocks are so popular, and make such a difference.
