I’m wanting to see if anybody has experience with multiple exhausts.

I had the GYTR Yosh on my 2018 that was stolen. I liked them, but am open to something different.

Got my eye on the Arrow X-Cone, but can’t find anybody talking about personal experience/sound/etc

Another option is Akros or Delkevic or Two Brothers

Currently the arrow is my top option. I like how the hanger is fab’d on it, doesn’t use hangers. Also like that it’s a little different than what everybody else has.

I had the GYTR Yosh and thought it was good. Delkevics are a good sound as well. TwoBros, well you can keep them, too obnoxiously loud.

If you opt for Delks, I'd say get the metal cans and not the carbon fiber. The carbon fiber is a cheap version and is cosmetic only...... eventually the nice carbon look MAY deteriorate in the heat and wear off, leaving you with black (mostly on the inside along the swingarm). I have a used one here (not mine) that did exactly that.

The Delks don't need to be repacked, maybe check out which ones do.

Totally agree on the 2 Bros. Tried a pair and they were too booming loud for my tastes. Settled on the 13 inch Delk Tri-Ovals but wish I opted for the 17-18 inch cans.

I’ve got the black widow on mine, the 400mm with CF tip ( FJR 1300 2006-2020 Exhaust Silencers 400mm Oval Stainless Carbon tip ). They’re some assembly required when they come in but look nice and have a nice sound. I took the baffles out of mine as I enjoy a growl on acceleration but even then they aren’t obnoxious by any means. My wife’s comm system picked them up yesterday so I got to hear them from a different perspective and had a “damn those sound nice” moment. Not a huge weight savings (I think it was 4lbs or so) but I prefer them to the stock monsters.

Moderator note:

I decided to move this thread to this section, slap a sticky on it, change the title slightly, and call it our definitive exhaust thread. All future muffler, etc. inquiries and discussions will be merged here, like we do with oil, tires and filters.

Thanks!

I bought a set of 13 or 14" Delks for my FJR. I tried them with and without the the internal silencers. They sounded good but the constant tone, drone and volume on rides bugged me. I ended up removing them and reinstalling the OE mufflers. I've decided I prefer their tone and quiet, that sewing machine hum. Can't remember the last bike I owned where I kept the stock cans on the bike but for me, they're the right cans for the FJR, a perfect complement to the bike.

I’ve never done that either in the past, but did the same thing with the FJR. I can’t even fathom 8 inchers for 7hr rides..lol. My ears are ringing just thinking about it…or maybe that’s from my 7.5hr ride yesterday with even the stock cans!

I guess if you take rides that have long straight runs any pipe is gonna be an ear numbing drone. But if you take interesting roads with elevation changes and plenty of varied radius turns, even loud pipes don't bother me with the constant rise and fall of RPMs.

Well, made trek yesterday and picked up the pipes. (1114 miles round trip)
Will see how this works out. He had them on a full race ZX14. they were professionally worked over by a performance shop, and he gained another 3hp over their manufacturers claim. Worked over meaning cut shorter at least... So they are gonna be loud. lol.
Would have been nice if he disclosed ALL the details vs just the basics. But they look sexy, cant wait.

FWIW, I ended up with another pair of Yoshi R77 (just like I had on my stolen '18).

I realized that regardless what pipes I have, it's gonna be hard to hear them at 80mph+ with earplugs and a full face helmet, even with the baffles out. And in town they sound great

I discovered GPR a few years ago. Now have them on 3 bikes - GSXR, VFR and FJR, although the FJR came with them fitted anyway, plus the OEM ones.
