Lazy tech, and I use the word "tech" loosely, would be my guess. If he didn't care enough to put the tire on right, he probably didn't care to balance it.

Hopefully Bennies will have a second to look. If not maybe i can hit them on the way back out. I’m also thinking the bike falling on the forks with no wheel or axle in place could have jarred something a MM or two out of place. That could do it as well i suppose. The bike has tracked great otherwise the whole trip

Where do you think you will be at in your trip on Friday? Id love to meet up with y'all and at least blow down a couple hundred with ya if it's possible. I have my kiddo till the early on Friday but can be 2-3 states away real quick for a cold beer or a good coffee.

Oh I did not remember hearing that! Here I was thinking you were out exploring the nether regions of the Green Mountains for fun. Well if you want an escort or a little road company, I am 30 mins from Bennington in Albany and would happily roll with a fellow FJR.

The fork leak seemed to fix itself after that first day and cleaning. Never really worried about it again after day #2. The steering bearings probably either need a quarter turn tightening, or i need to start thinking about a tapered replacement. I started paying close attention after the little 45mph thing started…and when i haul it up on the center stand, i do sometimes hear a faint clock from the front when i put that force on the bars.

Also weirdly my coolant is a little low. This happened last trip at the very end too. Maybe it’s the 8/9 hour days in the saddle with the ambient temps sometimes near or at 100 degrees. When i was almost home my temp climbed to “hi” in traffic and i used revs to keep it down until i got home. Coolant overflow reservoir is empty. Need to fill that thing before i ride again!
