I would have liked to see the look on your face if he answered the door with a double barrel. My friend was a investagater for years. Had a jam a while back but got the !*ckers plate number. You talk about deers eyes in your headlights when I was knocking on his door. That's all I can say
I've posted my personal plate on so many places including my Facebook and other groups I'm in and have never had one single problem. At most they can get from it is maybe my address. I say good luck if you come here, I have a small arsenal 5 dogs 3 of which are German Shepards which guard our property very well but to be honest you really would have to watch out for our 1 big boy we have which is a St. Benard if we're not around and he doesn't know you he let's you know you're not welcome. So have fun trying to do anything at my property!I ask “why” because I have yet to learn exactly how posting a license plate can lead to bad things happening. If it can, then I would really like to know how. All have ever been told when I ask the question are vague references to scammers and the like; no specifics or examples.
Because people who think posting plate numbers is a problem likely hounded them about itWonder why google maps blurs out all the plates now ? They never use to.
They’ve blurred out plates for as long as I’ve been using it.Wonder why google maps blurs out all the plates now ? They never use to.
Back in the day I used to have "a buddy in the DMV" that could look them up and see all of the information, when someone would really do something stupid we would go to their Facebook page and comment about their driving. Lets just say, that is an impossibility these days. If someone at DMV enters a plate to search the information and has no reason to be doing so, it's gonna get them fired and possibly charged with a crime. Things got a whole lot more serious in the last decade.I'd be interested to know how anyone looks up your plate, I'd think that would be considered a matter of security in all states..... even LEO's can't do that here frivolously, and the database isn't available to joe public.
So, how is it done (there)?
