Congratulation to Marc Marquez (Honda) a new 2019 MotoGP World champion, winning his 8th World title in style and with four races still left on the calendar (Wow), overtaking Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) in the last lap in Thailand race yesterday, and winning the race and World championship.
Marc age 26 and Eight (8) World titles :smile2: making me think what was I doing at age 26? :grin2:
And Quartararo at the tender age of only 20 ridding like a pro, his time is still to come, should be an interesting 2020 season.

No doubting Marcs unbelievable ability and intense desire to win. Without him, the top finishing Honda would have been Nakagami around 10th. Marcs contract is up next year, wonder what his asking price will be? No doubt astronomical.

I do not like the excessive celebrations they do these days. Guess it's an age thing. I remember Agostini and Roberts and Lawson, Rainey and Spencer, Schwantz, Gardner & Sheene etc and don't remember any of these ridiculous over the top celebrations when they won their Championships. Maybe I am just getting old, but I would think a little humility and class would go a long way.

Anyhow, Congrats to Marquez. He certainly deserved to win the championship, and win he did in typical Marquez fashion..

Agreed, no doubt today it's all about advertisement and TV air time, every sponsor wants to be on the screen for X-amount of seconds, and it's also extended to other social media platforms and YouTube, where number of "likes" and "viewing clicks" equal $$$ dollars.

And the way things are going celebration is not over for Marquez family, Alex is looking good to win a Moto2 championship :smile2: (I mean what kind of food is their mother feeding them ???)

Congratulations to Marquez. But this victory is nothing near what is needed to get me into a Honda dealer.

Yea you're probably right..like when they all fake to drink their energy drinks with the labels facing out in pics and interviews. Facebook, tweets, instagram pics probably somehow all earn them sponsor money. What a racket lol

Going to be some serious cash in the Marquez family coffers lol

Honda is wierd, they always try to bring radical bikes, that nobody wants and like. Like that Batman NM4, they should have continue developing the ST I am sure one of those would have been in my garage. I owned a GL1800 and absolutely loved the performance and handling, but too big and bulky. Honda and/or Yamaha, one can't go wrong, both equally excellent.

My dream bike; K1600GTL design, suspension and electronics + Honda 1833cc engine and dct + Yamaha reliability + (FJR stock seat) 😛 ...jk jk 🙂
