Clip ons on an FJR?

Has anyone moved from the OEM bars to a set of clip ons, like what you’d typically see on a sportbike?
While I do love my FJR, I wish the bars were in a more sporty position. They’re loved as far forward as possible but I’d like to push them a bit farther and downward just a bit. I’ve read a post where someone modded the OEM “nut plate” under the triple clamp and removed the locating pin; that supposedly allowed the bars to be moved forward and rotated a bit more “outwards”. But I’ve not tried that.
Any suggestions for making my FJR a bit more sporty?

Sounds dumb, but try it and report back. Your best bet would be something like this so that you can tune the height.

But they also have these, with only rotational adjust

Thank you! I found this post as well. I think before I try the clip ons, I’ll see how this works out.

I thought about that but the bar triple clamps that I've seen seem to move the bars rearwards, towards the tank. The one from ABM is the one that comes to mind.
Is there a way to make a "DIY" version? I suppose if I could find bar risers, low ones, I could modify the OEM triple clamp to accept them, and then find some bars that are lower and more forward. Is this what you were referring to?
I'm wanting them moved a bit forward, away from the tank. I have long arms, so the extra reach is no issue for me.
