I got my 2009 bike low miles with original Yuasa battery. But noticed it was on it's last leg after 11 years...replaced it with the identical Yuasa AGM. ALWAYS charge the battery before installing... read the instructions. 1A constant voltage over 13.5v charger for 12 hours should do it.

I just put my fourth battery in my '03 V-Strom (same battery as my FJR). After the factory Yuasa died, I've used the Batteries Plus AGM (DuraBoost?), and have gotten 5-6 years years of life out of each. This month, I replaced the latest one that was installed in 2015, so it lasted about seven years.
