Hi everyone, is there a difference between the gen one tank and gen 2, I have the chance of a bagster tank cover off of a 2007, and would like to know if it would fit my 2002 fjr, thanks for any help on this matter.

Yes, there is a difference. Bagsters are made specifically for Gen 1 bikes and Gen2-3-4. I'd certainly try it, but the gen1 tank cover is made a little more simply. Hey, you already own it, whadda you got to lose?

I went the other way I got hold of a gen 1 for cheap and adapted it for a gen 2. I had to trim a little off the side and back length and move the side straps to get a perfect fit. The gen 1 was a bit longer on the sides, only about 20mm / 3/4" .
