Does anyone know where one can purchase cables that are compatible with the Autocom communication sets? The rider and passenger leads that come with the set do not have a weather cap on the ends and leave the connections open to the elements.

Secondly I’d like to install the rider cable lead into Dash Panel A. I’m hoping to find a weather proof plug socket that could be installed there.

Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated…

I used to plug an empty dummy plug into my leads to protect them from the elements, such as:

The dash mount plugs with weather protection have eluded me for ages, Autocom know they exist but will refuse to tell you where to buy them, apparently because of the danger of them not seperating should you come off while connected. 5 pin din plugs are easier to come by than the newer 7 pin ones, but any good electrical, HI-FI shop should keep them. Try a Yacht chandlers for the surface mounted Din sockets.
