Having got caught the the Great Birmingham deluge earlier this week, I found yesterday that the bike wouldn't start whilst in gear with the clutch pulled in.

Removing, unplugging and stripping the clutch switch was a five minute job which revealed a pile of goey gunge. A clean-up, a scrape of the contacts and a layer of vaseline sorted the problem.

The design of the switch is quite basic and ingress of water will be difficult to avoid in torrential rain, but at least the remedy is quick and simple. :D
