As long it's just a rumor, start one!

Next year's FJR will weigh 100 lbs less, have factory cruise, Ohlins suspension front and rear, light forged wheels and will still have 145 horses but will also have 125 lb/ft of torque at the rear wheel and will come stock with a lockable trunk that will swap with the passenger seat a la "smuggler."

Not only will it not be hot, it'll have an air conditioner for your wedding tackle.

Of course, this may not show up until '08.

And no more pneumatic tires either. Solid all the way through so the Hoons can make it through a weekend without a sidetrip to a dealer.

And body panels made of an unbreakable plastic that when you go down you just have to run a heatgun over them and they self-mold themselves back to their original shape and finish. I'm talking to Suzuki about this too.

Since the FJR seems to be the display platform for Yamaha's bleeding edge of technology, look for a fly-by-wire throttle... no more cramped hand fighting all those return springs.

100-pounds lighter and factory cruise? I'd drive all the way to Japan to get the first one!

Oh, and Amain... good thought on the tires. The lighter Duc shaggs 'em just as fast on those perpetual twisties.

It's not your weight, it's your gait. 8)

Slow down and smell the dogwoods, buddy.
