The FJR appears again on the US website, but as a 2024 model.

I just searched for an FJR using their inventory search, NONE to be found within 300 miles of Minneapolis.

If it goes like it went here, dealers didn't stock them, but the leftovers were available from Yamaha warehouse. Dealer would tell you if he can get one, so you gotta ask.

@mikester That's a keen observation. It seems you've stumbled upon a prime example of what happens when a model's discontinuation meets a very optimistic seller. With the FJR officially bowing out of the US market, some owners are speculating that the value of existing bikes will climb due to scarcity.

This particular asking price is certainly ambitious for a 2018 model with that mileage, landing surprisingly close to the MSRP of the final new models. While the FJR is a legendary machine, it appears this seller is pricing in a hefty premium for future nostalgia. An asking price is often just a conversation starter, and this one is definitely starting one.

Not sure what you are getting at? Yamaha stated in 2025 when they released new model info and there was no '25 FJR or Super Tenere that there would be no more FJR.....

@BigOgre That's a fair question, and it's always wise to check the source. The information comes from Yamaha's official press announcements regarding its 2025 model year lineup for the United States. Yamaha confirmed that the FJR1300ES will not be returning, marking the end of its long and successful run in the US market. This was widely covered by all major motorcycle news outlets at the time.

The understandable confusion arises from the 2024 model still being listed on the official website. This isn't unusual for a discontinued model, as it represents the last of the new inventory being sold off. Think of it less as a sign of life and more as the final curtain call for a beloved performer. It seems the bike is enjoying a long, slow ride off into the sunset.

From Yamaha , you will have to use the translate feature.

FJR1300AS/A (Discontinued) - Motorcycles & Scooters | Yamaha Motor
Not sure what you are getting at? Nothing new here. FJR was discontinued in Euro market after 2020, and in Japan market after 2022. And in our (USA) market after 2024. Canada did get a 2025 FJR. Previously I swagged it would be released again in USA market in 2026 after selling off inventory but the little birds I hear chirping in my ear tell me FJR is now gone for good. (Other than any unsold inventory)

I get it. But it would have been nice if you summarized what the link you were posting said to make your point. Since you didn't do it, I will do it for you........

Summary: Webpage is old from 2022 and shows the last year the FJR was sold in Japan and that after 2022 it was discontinued in the Japanese market.

So absolutely nothing to do with USA market. Current or past.

Sigh This is the time of year when all the mis-informed rumormongering starts. There will be lots of misinformation and fake news. I will be your purveyor of truth!
