My Haynes failed me. To be fair, it only says it is good through 2013 and I have a 2016ES. It says one can somehow remove that center (fifth) screw holding the front fairing to the headlights. I've seen posts stating that is impossible for 2016+. I haven't found a nice/complete removal reference like Atrophy's side fairing pages. Feel free to point me to a thread on getting the nose off if it already exists.

Following the Factory Service Manual

I am at #14. The picture in the FSM suggests the bolts are vertical. I can't see anything like that on the underside:

Watching someone remove the nose from a 2013-2015, he had four screws on the backside.

Or do I have two above to also remove? I can't see anything above, but it may just be absolutely covered in wiring...

Any help is appreciated!

Fairing removal guide, Gen3 won't be much different for Gen4, if any.
You do not remove the center screw between the headlights until you have the nose fairing off the bike..... all Gens.

Note, .pdf of above also attached.

To remove nose fairing/headlights.... note on page 3 at the bottom where he shows his orange screwdriver in the center of the headlights, disregard this step (4 pics), fairing and headlights come off as one unit and you remove that screw after you have it off.

So I have four screws left, not two, to get the fairing/headlight unit (#15 in the FSM) off?

Atrophy, two on the bottom:

Atrophy, two on the top (not looking forward to finding these):

Four screws. I'm thinking about filing the head of the one on the bottom right into a hex head because it is so hard to get even a stubby screwdriver in there.
