Thank you for reposting this! I had a bad fuse on my heated gear power line, so I modified the battery cover. No more wasted time popping off the dash panel.
I am getting way too old to see the small screws on the headlight adjustment knobs!

Yes rdu, upgraded panel pops off far easier than the original.

rdurider I dislike dredging up old threads, but I asked this question in another thread and it went unanswered. The PO of my 2013 hacked up the battery panel and riveted in snaps for a naugahyde cover. Consequently, I've ordered the new battery cover panel.
