FabricGATOR Purplish Blue Metallic? Is that your color?

How about this? You can google the part number and find multiple outlets.

I like (and I am familiar with) the IPC (illustrated parts catalog) and find my parts with ease.

Then, similar to Amazon, I found that a few years ago, they were VERY competitive with their pricing and now that they have a bunch of customers on autopilot, you should check their prices and deals.

Here is the IPC for the COWLING 1 for your year, but I did just pick one of the six variations for that year (FJR13 AV), so check the model, although I believe all the cowlings were likely the same.

I just placed an order and combined boats.net Yamaha parts to make the $149 free shipping and then paid with PayPutz Credit for 6 months 0% finance (to add outboard, ATV, JetSki parts, look up on the other site and then search the 'cut n paste' part numbers on the one site's shopping cart)

Cheers!

Good looking out Bill. I was thinking that Brunswick GA was the home of boats.net and partzilla.com

I sure wish I had the hardware/screw/bolt sort system @1:11 in my shop...

This is ALMOST as impressive as the UPS Louisville Kentucky sort complex video.
I think it was a Modern Marvels production that showcased that UPS complex

FabricGATOR I know when I buy stuff like that decorative cover for my 2007, it comes painted in the color of the year.

I believe the idea behind the nylon screws is so that they do break as opposed to decapitating the pilot.
Installing them to the proper torque and replacing with fresh nylon screws likely help the screen NOT departing the vehicle.

I just scored a new windshield on ebay with a minor flaw from a dealer in Brunswick GA *hint hint I think it is a surplus deal for their flawed returns.
Glad I read this, I will want new nylon screws for my new screen!

Cheers!

fjroddy found this piece too that you would need to paint, painting it black would be easy and would look ok....no idea if new is any better or worse price. This is a 'cover', one more piece goes on under it and by the sounds of it you are missing that too.>https://www.ebay.ca/itm/2011-Yamaha-...dcNKY~&vxp=mtr

johnplays I didn't hit the special button, no and I've only ever ridden a Harley once, no offense to any Harley riders! Thank you all for the feedback!

johnplays That looks like some good info right there, thank you!

FjrjrF Glad to hear you weren't hurt. And now my first thoughts:

I guess that VStream vortex really works....

You didn't hit that special button on the 2006 did you?

We know you used to ride a Harley and wanted that fresh air feel.....

You have to let go of the up button on that motorized windshield......

Seriously, the prior person that had that windshield off, obviously didn't attach it correctly. I believe this is the first ever windshield loss. Definitely not a common thing, even with the plastic screws.
