    Hi Bernie,

Thanks for the manual, I noticed you have had 4 FJR's and noticed in your pic's that your FJR has electrical clips on the spark plug boots/caps. Have all your FJR's had them (as mine does not and I am wondering if they have been replaced with aftermarket ones?

    Hi Tim,
Yes, you do need to make small cuts to the fairing, but they are relatively easy to do, and are not visible once the sliders are in place. I think the advantage with these sliders is that they have large plastic feet which butt against the engine cases, and will help to absorb and cushion shock in the event of a fall.

I would opt for these sliders again, but I have not read of anyone who has actually crashed with a set of these sliders fitted and tested them. Note that none of the sliders available will prevent the mirrors from hitting the ground and probably breaking the internal fairing stay.

    Hello Bernie,
I am in the process of determining what frame sliders I want to buy and have come to the conclusion that the OEM Yamaha ones you installed seem to offer the most protection.
My question is, was any cutting or modifying required to install? I have read yes & No so since you have done it I would like to ask for your honest opinion on these frame sliders & would you opt for something different now?

    Thanks,
    Tim
