Turn Signal canceler?
What is this foolishness?
There is a farkle to cancel the turn signal?
I would like to read more about this!
Why did Mama Yama not install it originally?
So many questions!

Yes, it's been argued to death.
If you do decide to do something, go to https://safer-turn.com/smart-turn-system/ and do a compatibility check. It'll ask for your email address, and you'll likely get a return email offering the correct device at a reduced price.
Just keepin' up with traffic, Officer.

I guess I have a bit of a different take,, my 86 gl1200 Sei had self cancellers and quite frankly they have their own set of problems with timing out or extended “on” times,,, I guess I just don’t find the fjr setup that hard. Yep I occasionally do forget to cancel them but pretty infrequently, it ain’t that hard & the self cancellers have their own issues, besides the added weight & cost. My .02.

You all are funny AF!
Scorpion had it. It worked greatly!
And yeah, I did use the search, and did read the thread back from 2017, you bunch of Smart-asses!~
I was just wondering why they didn't keep it going.
I may have to look at the ST2.
Now having taken all that abuse, lol, I have noticed that a certain "whrring" pitch changes when the turn signal is on, and I am stopped. And once I startup, the engine sound kinda deadens that "whirring" cycle pitch.
Have any of you all noticed that? Or maybe I am not describing it clearly.

The ESs have all the hardware needed to make a true inertial turn signal canceler. All it would take is some more code in the IMU.
I suspect that the simpler systems from the -70s and -80s went away because of product liability considerations.

Time spent looking at motorcycles, even Harleys, is never wasted.
