Handlebar ends - broken off?

Newbie here - i read some threads on "removing the bar end rubber bung".
Would someone comment on if mine are broken off or what they would advise?

First pic is clutch side and the jagged metal visible appears broken off.
Throttle side appears to have the internals still in the bar end.

I was looking at purchasing #'s 3 & 5 from here as replacements.

Would using an easy out be able to get in there and turn the internals left hand?
Thanks for ideas?
Matt

With bar end off, insert screw until engaged full threads (it appears someone did an insert repair), put a set of vice grips on it and tap the entire insert out of the handlebars, replace with OEM or other brand or aftermarket. Check parts diagram for item 4 ..... this is what you will be slide hammering out.
