Which Yuasa Battery?

I have a 2008 FJR1300 and I intend to purchase a new Yuasa battery in a few days.
As far as I know there are only two Yuasa batteries that fit my bike. The Yuasa YT14B-BS and the Yuasa YT14B-4.

I believe both batteries are sealed AGM power sport batteries. What I don't really know is which of the two should I pick up.

Is one better than the other?

Given those limited choices I say look in your owners manual and get the -4 that is spec'd for your bike. I however chose to use a different mfr.

And now, prepare yourself for the onslaught of info of everything else that everyone else uses because pretty much no one on this forum can simply answer your simple question and move on without piling on more BS than necessary.

Interesting... when I search the Yuasa site, I only come up with the YT14B-BS. No mention of the -4.

Same here, they only show the BS model which is an AGM, which in my opinion is more durable for our application. Lotís of options out there though.

There is a third.... the GT14B4, which is made in Taiwan where the OEM's are made, and is Yuasa's GS series.... Partzilla $115. It is a step up from the YT series (made in PA).

Compare specs on Yuasa's site... too many mixed reviews on other brands, so I don't use them. Where you live can be a factor on battery longevity, heat kills them sooner.

Page 8-3 in the owners manual shows GT14B-4

It looks like that GT14B-4 # was changed to YT14B-4 and now it's a YT14B-BS.
