Unhappy 2003 FJR 1300 weird idle sound w/ video

Hey guys! I'm an owner as of 5 days ago, got my new old 03 w/60,000 miles on it, rode it home ~120 miles with no issues.

I'm not sure if this is normal (this is the only fjr I've ever heard), or if it's something I need to worry about but my idle sounds seem weird to me (compared to other bikes I've owned)

Does this sound like a cam chain tensioner swap, or am I worrying too much?

stop running that engine immediately and buy a new cct and all your issues will be gone that is the sound of your cam chain slapping about its a cheap fix if you keep running it youll have to pull the engine replace valves so please get a new cct

edit: have a look at your current cct and check if you have a colored dot on it green or blue this way you can tell if its an older one or if it has been swapped before but i doubt that it has

Talking

Thanks a ton! I'm sorry for asking a question that there are probably tons of answers to, but what is insider knowledge on where to find quality spares?

im from Europe so i personally got mine from https://www.yamahacenteramsterdam.nl...ssy-cam-chain/

i often read the us guys talk about bikebandit and rockymountainatv i think it is not entirely sure.

if you give it a min im sure ray will shine in with his opinion and where he gets his across the pond

Thanks! I checked bikebandit but they didn't seem to have the part I needed. I don't know who ray is but I hope he's the man!

I shop Partzilla or PartShark.... Yeah, you better not run that thing any more before you get a new CCT (and gasket). And do read up on how to do it right without losing valve timing (hint, tie wrap around cam chain at the crankshaft end to keep it from dropping down).
CCT is 1MC-12210-00-00 and 5SL-12213-00-00 gasket.
If you have the winning lottery ticket numbers, please send them along.

Ty, one thing I would suggest is to add your location and your bike year/model to your signature line, itíll help identify & diagnose any problems as well as if you may have someone close to help.
