You guys are funny! passx always sticking up for us red's, he's the leader of our charge. Ray always coming back to keep the red's down. I find it a hilarious portion of each thread that this Hatfield and McCoy goes on, even in unsuspecting threads, threads that aren't anywhere near this topic.
I will have to say Steve, when you first turn the key on your '14 and don't hear that clicking sound from the gauges, then, there are many other things your not hearing (or you just maintaining so the wife believes that your not hearing her, Shhhhh)
Jim, it's called "selective" hearing and after nearly 50 yrs together I've gotten quite good at it, but don't tell the wife ! As far as the bike Or car noises, I hear everything, ask the wife ! She knows anything not "normal" will just make crazy, an example I'll give is that on the way home from a solo visit to my son's in NH I had a rattle in our 2016 outback that was just driving me crazy (more than normal) and I drove the 1000mi home driving and emptying the glove box, the center console, the door storage thingy's, messing with everything trying to find the rattle, all at 75-80mph, talk about distracted driver (stupid), anyway I never found it. But a couple of days later I was taking the wife out for dinner and the rattle that I now figured was part of the car was particularly active, the wifey looked at me and smiled, then asked "is that the rattle that's making you so crazy" to which I had to admit yes, she again smiled and reached up to the toll pass box that I had located behind the mirror, pushed her finger lightly on it and miraculously the rattle stopped or I just couldn't hear it over her laughter. **** !
For me it was the red that sealed the deal and brought me into the FJR world. I took notice and liked what I saw. Then, out of curiosity, I stumbled into this foray of the internet. It was like find a hidden basement door in the floor. And from there, I walked into this gang of hooligans.
