Question Rust on gas tank upper lip.

My 2008 FJR with 51000 miles has started to develop rust on gas tank filler hole upper ring. Itís leave a bit of rust on rubber gasket on gas cap lid. I have wiped it off and tried putting a little grease on it but it seems to come back. Though I would search for a solution on the forum.

There is no real coating on the steel..... it's gonna happen. Just keep wiping it off.
