Ray, I get the feeling that we ride similarly, I really don't look at the tach unless im Really Getting after it and even then occasionally bump there rev limiter, it is a heck of a lot of Fun.

As far as the wee drag race nuttin but air & opportunity as they say, the only down side here is once. Im done with You then all silver and blue guys are gonna want to find out !!! The only one that gives me any pause would be Russ cause his 07 is kinda red, could be really fast !

Seriously though, hows the new Honda doing ? Isn't it Red ? Luv ya man! You make me smile & laugh !

I bought the FJR because it is slow like a Victory. I no longer needed to be fast and that roll on between 2 FJR's with BTL68 only went to 55 mph because that was the posted speed limit but I may have hit 58. I am the innocent guy and would never stretch out a good story.

If I want to go fast I will hop on the 650 Vulcan ..............................

You know that I do not get involved in that kind of tomfoolery. I am just an innocent guy that is completely misunderstood.

Until today never paid a lot of attention just shifted by feel but after watching the tach I make most of the shifts between 45-5000 occasionally I’ll run it up to 6-7000RPM dont think I’ve ever hit redline. FWIW it’s a ‘16A Model

Nah, I don't do redline, 8000 is plenty good... well actually the rev limiter cuts in at 9200 preventing you from getting there.
The Honda is going to NC tomorrow, I'll get some pics on real roads.

During my commute I shift around 3,000 - or I may wait until 4,000 and then skip a gear (e.g. go straight from 4 to 6)...while riding for fun, I tend to keep the RPMs a little higher...
