I put a set of the Contis on my FZ1 and like them better than the Michelins that were on there. I just bought a 14 FJR with 6k miles and the previous owner just put a set of Metzeler Roadtecs. I will see how they do. My FZ1, used 42psi on both the front and the rear. The FJR says 36 front, 42 rear. That surprised me as I figure the FJR would be heavier in front.

Which Contis?
Which Michelins?
Which Metzeler Roadtec?

There are dozens of tires from each manufacturer which fit FZR.

Hit 11K miles today. Still going...the smudge on the back tire photo shows where the wear marker is.

Just over 12K miles now and I am just about to the wear marker on the rear tire. There is some squaring off on the front and rear which is to be expected for all the commuting that I do. I really didn't think they would make it this far but they will likely come off in 2-3 weeks which equals about 1000-1500 miles from now.

That is simply amazing! At that rate you have another 8,000 miles in those tires!

Thanks for the continued updates. This gives me more to think about for my upcoming refresh.

I am glad this has been helpful for some. I would remind everyone of the stats I posted at the beginning describing my weight, riding style, and the type/distance of the commuting I do.

Based on this performance I will be quite likely to have Continentals again.

They seemed to wear much faster due to the hot temperatures in the summer and, of course, slowed in their wear rate in the cooler temps.

Just over 13K miles and I can say that the level of grip is just starting to wane. Nothing unusual nor abrupt but a subjective sense that things are not as grippy as before. Temps have dropped at times here in the desert, too, with a couple of mornings at 23F and there is less rubber to flex as at the start.

You can see the wear marker on the rear and this is on the non camber side of the tire. The front also shows the slight feathering that has finally worn in.

I will be replacing these as soon as I get the time to pull the wheels. I have a set of T30evo tires waiting. Why Bridgestone? Only because I got a great rebate on them. I truly appreciate the Continentals, so much so that I put a set of Road Attack 3's on my daughter's Ninja 500.

I have a set to install in spring . Will be interesting to see how they do for me.

This is very impressive mileage performance from these tires. Has anyone used the Road Attack 4 tires? Are they supposed to be improved over the Attack 3's?
