You say that, yet I find it works perfectly well and gives excellent combination of grip and tyre life.

Sometimes our own preconceptions are the hardest things to overcome.

Hit 1000 miles on these today. You can compare the pictures here to the original post from new. So far, I really enjoy the grip and overall performance of these tires!

36F/42R for pressures.

You can see that the smaller letters in the rear have rubbed off almost completely but the front still has it.

The words have rubbed off. I'm pretty sure you are courting disaster with those worn out tires!

Right about 3000 miles now. Looking at the back I am beginning to wonder how many miles I will get out of that rear tire. Maybe 6-7K? We'll see...

They are handling great, however!

Almost to 4000 miles and they are still sticking like glue. I will post pictures once I get there in a couple of days. However, I am really beginning to wonder if I will get more than 6000 out of the rear in total. If that is the case, it will be the shortest lived tire that I can recall.

Thatís what iím seeing as well - wear on the rear in particular appears quite fast. Iíve not done as much riding in the last 6 months as would normally so havenít put that many kilometres on them - mainly just commuting.

They are a very confidence inspiring tyre for grip, particularly in adverse conditions. But lifespan will be the key to se them again or not. I wonít mind a reduced lifespan of a reasonable amount, but not a huge reduction.

Cheers,

Anthony

I totally agree. If I could get 10K miles from a set with this performance I would be reasonably pleased but 6000 is just not long enough with my commuting. The Bridgestone T31's will be next (had them on my previous ST1300) if these can't make it.

It's the old story, grippy tires have softer compounds.......
