I am looking at these.

What's wrong with these, save a couple of bucks..... sorry for the echo in here, LOL. Same darn things, shop around (I dislike Amazon's markups). Ebay's too, find them at AliExpress for even less.

After two hours of searching the forums...is there a way to turn the headlights on without starting the bike and filling my garage with CO? All my other bikes I've owned in the last 30 years have the headlights come on when the ignition key is turned to on, then they go off when the key is turned further to start the engine (reducing draw during the start sequence). I have an '05. Anyone?

Rubber down, shiny up! And remember, not everyone out there is trying to harm you!

Not to my knowledge... however, if the bike is already warmed up, you can start it, then shut it down right away. Wouldn't recommend this cold, as ECU will stay in "fuel enrichment mode" and may not start.... needs to warm up after starting from "cold".

OP has a 2005. I've never had a problem doing the same to turn on my 2005's headlights.

My new LED headlight bulbs arrived today. Man, they are bright (but not illegal bright I'm sure) Kinda cool with the fan and all They're 'Angel Eyes' so there's a ring of blue LEDs on the front face. Here's a couple of pictures of them on the bench. I'll add an installed pic later. $25 USD to CAN inc. S&H for the pair.

Edit: These bulbs work fine IMHO, whiter (towards blue) than the halogens. But the angel-eyes feature is so blue and so bright that I got too worried about getting busted (in Canada only the RCMP can use blue lights) and ended up covering up the angel-eyes rings of blue LEDs with some MacTac silver muffler tape. I got busted once before a couple of years ago for running blue LEDs in my turn signals (with clear lenses). $180 fine and had to show up at the cop shop in 24 hours with amber bulbs or lenses on! Guess I muffed it again....

how do I change the front signals. Haven't been able to find a video of how to get to them. I have the LED bulbs and resistors ready to go.
