check the handlebar switches are working properly. There is no real adjustment except to tweak them in the mounting holes, and Yamaha seems to have set them so they are very sensitive.
Also check the ABS sensors, remove and clean them so there is no doubt of corrosion and they seat properly. A little silicone grease will slow down the corrosion.
There is a possibility of a faulty sensor, check that next if the above does not solve the problem.
