This is why I have my cradle always powered on. Sounds also like you have auto-recalculate on, turn that crap off to Prompted, get You in control not Garmin. When restarting mid-route, it wants you to go back to the last waypoint (not shaping point) unless you intervene and press Skip... or, Stop the route, and reload it, in which case it will prompt you to pick the waypoint to go to next.
So now that you understand how it works..... next time won't be a problem.

Thanks Ray, I'll know what to do if it happens again. In the meantime, I'll get to work unswitching the cradle...a bit of a process with the pdm 60.

Geez, newfangled gadget... HA! They said it was all easy and you can do anything in seconds! Phone app? I like KISS, no PDM60 for me.

Clutch Soak Complete

Completed the clutch soak on my FJR. Noticed a positive difference on the first ride! Hopefully it stays like this. One thing I did a little different compared to posts was I shuffled the deck, so to say. So the plates with visible wear were moved to where the plates with little visible wear were (mic'd and all were well in spec). I also used a scotchbrite pad to clean the drive plates up. The outer pads were sticking together, dry basically, and the inner were loose before soaking.

Looks like no one has done anything for a couple weeks. Must be out riding!

I did the Gen III rear shock upgrade a couple months back. The preload adjuster stopped working last week, so I had to pull the shock off again. PITA, but having done it once, it was faster this time. The nuts that hold the cable in place had slipped off their retainer, so the fix was fast. This is on a 2007 AE, so besides the ABS plumbing to work around, there is the shift actuator on the other side, too. The nut is a lot easier to access with that removed.

I ordered a new air filter, since I was going to tear it open again. The actuator has to come off to get the filter out. I was surprised how bad the filter was; I don't know when (if) the prior owner changed it, if ever. It was actually bowed outward, and the mesh around the media was separating from the plastic base.

Went out for about 200 miles to visit some Tour of Honor sites with my wife aboard (together we clock out around 460# - we're not small people). Much better ride with the hard preload!

I just did the oil six weeks ago (right before an SS1000 attempt) but it is black. It is probably fine, but with the condition of the air filter, I don't know what kind of particulate has been getting sucked through; it's cheap peace of mind for me. I'll add a couple ounces of SeaFoam and take it out for a run first, to heat it up well. Need to buy a new drain plug tomorrow as the P.O. bunged it up.

Photos: Filters before & after, and shift actuator.

I walked around mine to get to my truck. Been raining steadily for 3 days. Looking forward to another 3 days of it at least.

Last night I removed the V47 box and 357 rack. Installed the stock rear rack and acquired passenger backrest kit, to let Wife Inc try it instead of the V47 acting as backrest.
But as Russ stated, been raining since Sunday, so may be this weekend for a test run.

Nothing wrong with the discoloration of your old filter. As difficult as the FJR is to access air filter I too would have replaced. I wouldn't replace if access was easier but for your comment about parts of the old filter separating.

Been waiting for news of a rockslide or two on I-40. And for the state to come by and declare my yard-swamp protected wetland so I can quit mowing.
