New to forum

Just wanted to say hello to all and introduce myself. My name is Howard Brown or Howie B, I live in Las Vegas and just bought a new 2013 FJR a few months back. I have been riding my entire life and just made the move to Sport Touring after piloting the 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa (Crush) the past 5 years putting 50,000 miles plus on it. Ive had many motorcycles over the years, mostly Suzuki's but I have owned a few Yamaha's as well, Radian, V-Star, and my very first street legal which I used to get licensed on the Yamaha enduro 125... I am an MSF RiderCoach teaching at the CSn here in Las Vegas and also teaching active duty Army soldiers for Cape Fox Government Services. I'd like to say that I love the FJR with only a couple complaints, first being the **** battery placement and the difficult removal of it. Second being something that will be fixed very soon, the stock windscreen. I will be replacing that with a Cee Bailey windscreen as I have heard nothing but great things about them and the way they prevent most wind noise and helps throw the wind over me.

Welcome Howie. You obviously know motorcycles, so what took you so long. Seriously it sounds like you have ridden all types. The Hayabusa is a monster and I'm sure it could be altered into a great single seat ST. The FJR will spoil you. Have fun ride.

FYI......Yamaha just introduced a new fairing piece that you can swap on the 2013 FJR that makes the battery changing much easier.

Info is on the "other" FJR forum.

Sorry don't have the link for the post but if you search there I'm sure it will come up
