Either choice is actually OK, both will be very reliable, mileage differences not very important (20k is nothing)... the cheaper one is better looking from the getgo and allows you to spend that extra grand to make it yours, because you'll likely spend that anyway no matter which one you buy.

You canít be serious, a receipt in a shoe box. Lol.
I keep all records on a phone app. No need for receipts once warranty is over.
Just had to say it in fun

Keeping all your records in your phone is the fast path to disappointment.

One such disappointment is when trying to sell a used bike.

I backup to a hard drive and keep that in shoebox. LOL
Cloud as a double back up.

All fun aside, I still live by a handshake and my word is as good as any contract( sadly lacking in todayís world).

Come to think of it, as old fashioned as the shoebox

I am old school so it is a folder or shoe box depending on the amount of receipts.

I don't "cloud" anything. I retired from IT and was getting (and still am) into security. Look at the litany of breeches reported from companies with MONEY at stake (more valuable to them than your inconsequential PII*). I also don't "rent" software for the same reasons.

Also, network availability and bandwidth haven't permeated all locations yet so 99/99 (99% up time and 99% of "broadband speeds") can't be relied on.

As such, I roll my own solutions that are all in my control and don't leave my Demarc.

Bottom line: If you don't completely control the place that stores your data, you don't control who has access. Additionally remote (cloud) storage might not always be available (wifi or other outages) which means that important file may be backed up somewhere but you can't get to it when you need it.
