bill mayer seat on ebay

I have been looking for an aftermarket seat on Ebay since I bought my 03 fjr. I purchased a single seat Corbin but it was too hard, as bad as the stock seat. {its for sale for $100 plus shipping if anyone is interested}. I have been getting along with the stock seat and an Air Hawk, which IMHO is much better than stock but not a Custom seat, and is always subject to thievery since it is held on by two thin straps. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281095048827...84.m1439.l2649 is the link to the seat. Will let you know if it works for me when it comes. Philharmonic

Hi PH, I am a bit confused... (again). I was under the impression that the GenI bikes had a single/one piece seat. Is this not the case? The photo looks like the riders portion of a GenII, even though the description says it is a GenI.
Straighten me out Orchestral Man . Is my understanding of the GenI seat incorrect?

No the Gen 1 fjr's have two piece seats as well, they just don't have the different heights of the two seats like the Gen 11 does. There are some popular seats that fit the Gen 1 that are one peice, like the yamaha/corbin one peice seat w' passenger backrest you see on Ebay now and then. My wife has no problem with the rear seat on my fjr, so for now I'll try the Bill Mayer and see how that works for me, if I don't like it I can go back to my Air Hawk. Philharmonic
