Avon Tires

Are the Avon Storm 3d X-M a good fit for the FJR?

A couple of my buddies used them, thought they were great... no personal experience myself.

Some people like them, some people don't. The only way to know if you are going to like them is to try them.

I am a proud new owner of a 2003 FJR and went w/ the Avon's. Unfortunately I have yet to receive them so I don't have any real world experience or opinion for you. I'm going to Sturgis tho....if you can wait a couple weeks I will definitely have a opinion by then.

No worries. I can surely wait for a couple of weeks to find out what you think about the Avons. I had the Cobra Chromes on a Valkyrie and I loved them. Great handling and they last for a long time. Let me know what you think after you come back from Sturgis.

I have a set on my bike now, and had them on my Superduke GT. I've run all the popular Pirelli and Michelin tires. Th Avons handle just as well and get much better mileage.
